A Fairy Tale About a Sea

Once upon a time there was a sea. A very small one, but it had little fish, and seashells, and all sorts of coral, and even some kind of seaweed. Just as a sea should.

It basked in the sun. Splashed about in the breeze... Seagulls flew in to look for fish.

There was one seagull it liked very much.

When she flew in with her friends, all the waves smoothed themselves out so the birds could find fish more easily.

One day she and her friends were talking about how it was time to fly somewhere else. How they wouldn't see this lovely sea again for another year. They flapped their wings and flew away. When they had almost vanished beyond the horizon, the sea couldn't bear it any longer, and spread its wings, and flapped... and took flight. It was a little clumsy at first. Fish and seashells tumbled out, but with every wingbeat the sea came closer to that one seagull. The sea didn't know where it was flying. It knew it was flying to wherever that little gull would be.

Bateram as asas e voaram. No começo, voava meio desajeitado.
